83-year-old has jaw replaced by 3D-printed mandible

We at Materialise are happy to see that medical applications in 3D printing seem to get more press coverage every day. We already posted some coverage in the Forum, but now again we are happy to show that the people of LayerWise (metal-focused additive manufacturer based in Leuven, Belgium) and Xilloc Medical (patient-specific implants, based in Maastricht, The Netherlands) were widely acclaimed for their amazing case in which they printed and implanted a full lower jaw!

The list of websites that features their story is getting very long, but here is a small selection for those of you who want to read more about it (and believe us, it's really worth having a look at!):

Congratulations to LayerWise and Xilloc Medical!
