I was wondering if it is possible or planned in future mimic versions to include a stereoscopic display option?
In my opinion this would be a great way to display the fitting of implants inside physiological structures.
In the mean time, does anybody know a good stl/vrml- viewer with stereoscopic display? It should be possible to load different files at the same time and translate/rotate them relatively to each other. Ideally it would also have different output formats (anaglyphic, sidebyside, abovebelow etc.).

Stereo-display

Dear Andreas,

There is no such thing planned, but I feel this is a requirement that should be met by others, like graphics card or screen manufacturers.

As a matter of fact, I have already seen Mimics on a 3D screen. We had a workshop in Japan and there was a company that had some special screen (maybe also graphics card). Looking through special glasses, one could see the 3Ds in Mimics also really in 3D!

Unfortunately I dont remember the name of that company, but if you want to know, perhaps my Japanse colleague remembers?!
