How do I quickly make a filled 3D model of the tibia for example?  I heard that "cap and wrap" is the best method?

fyi: i cannot find the wrap

fyi: i cannot find the wrap function in my version of mimics.  I can only see smoothing and triangle reduction under the simulation menu bar.  does something addtional need to be installed?

Wrap

I'd suggest the "cap and wrap" method as you mentioned, meaning to manually fill in large holes in the axial slices at both ends of the tibia with Edit Mask, then use the Wrap tool to automatically fill smaller holes along the bone. If you have the STL+ module, using v13.1 and newer, the Wrap is found under the Tools menu.
